Red Admiral Butterfly for Release

You must include your event date or desired pickup time on the calendar or in notes section of your cart. 

We recommend 50 butterflies or more for a wonderful mass release effect, but any quantity will be a beautiful release! See the steps below for how to place your order. You can also call or email us with any questions! 

Step 1: Choose Mass release or Individual release:

Above, you can choose between a mass release (all the attention in one place) or an individual release (so each guest can have their own butterfly experience).

Step 2: For Mass release, choose your quantity between 12-100

You can also order several containers to release multiple groups of butterflies at the same time by adjusting the Release Size, or do some as a mass release and some individual. If ordering only individual butterflies, skip this whole step and go to step 3. 

Step 3: For Individual, choose between envelopes and fancy mini-boxes:

Envelopes are simple and brings more focus to the release. Fancy mini-boxes are... well fancier and are better if you want to have a more elegant vibe to your event. Mini-boxes are also an excellent choice to give to children since the butterflies are better protected inside the small box compared to the envelope. You can also select some of each. You can pick a pre-set amount (50 or 100) or select 1 and enter your custom quantity. 

Step 4: You must include your event date at the top of this page or desired pickup date and time in notes section of your cart on the next page. 

We will ship the butterflies overnight to arrive 1-2 days before your event, or have it ready for pickup the day of or day before your event. All orders are shipped via UPS Overnight Guaranteed for $49 unless picked up locally. We also guarantee that your butterflies will arrive before your event starts or you'll be eligible for a 100% refund (exclusions apply on Tuesday event dates).

Additional Notes:

As powerful flyers, Red Admirals offer a bold mass release experience with their darker colors, and they are one of the quickest butterflies to warm up and fly for releases. They are one of the only other species that require no USDA release permit (besides White Butterflies), making these Red Admiral butterflies a premium alternative to releasing Painted Lady butterflies. They can also be combined in our mixed mass release packages.
